Multi-entertainer Jang Geun-seok dipastikan merupakan salah satu bintang hallyu terpanas. Sementara saat ini ia sedang sibuk tur keliling ke berbagai negara Asia dengan "The Cri Show", album debutnya berhasil membuat sejarah. Debut album Jang Geun-seok "Let Me Cry" telah mengklaim nomor satu di Oricon chart Jepang. Albumnya berhasil menjual lebih dari 119K kopi dalam minggu pertama peluncurannya. Ini adalah kedua kalinya dalam sejarah tangga lagu Oricon bahwa artis solo laki-laki berhasil mengambil posisi teratas dengan debut single - Masahiko Kondo adalah yang pertama pada bulan Desember 1980.

Jang Geun-seok telah berhasil memenangkan hati penggemar Jepang-nya melalui drama "You're Beautiful." Dia juga membuat kehadirannya lebih akrab di Jepang dengan berbagai dukungan iklan seperti Santori Seoul Makgeolli, Nature Republic, dan Lotte Duty Free. Selain itu, drama "Mary Stayed Out all Night" yang dibintanginya dengan Moon Geun-young, akan memukul gelombang udara Jepang pada 20 Mei 2011. Diduga bahwa popularitas Jang Geun-seok akan terus meningkat setelah drama ini mulai ditayangkan.
