Alasan MV English Version ‘The Boys’ SNSD Diblok

Beberapa hari yang lalu telah diberitakan bahwa MV English Version 'The Boys' SNSD diblok oleh SM, sehingga tidak dapat dilihat oleh beberapa negara, termasuk Indonesia. Saat itu, SM tidak menjelaskan alasan mengapa MV tersebut ditutup untuk beberapa negara.

Banyak spekulasi dari fans yang menduga bahwa hal itu terjadi karena SNSD akan mengunggah MV tersebut di VEVO YouTube. Perlu diketahui, VEVO adalah sebuah situs web video musik. Situs ini merupakan hasil kerjasama antara Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, dan Abu Dhabi Media bersama EMI (source: wikipedia). Penyanyi-penyanyi dunia terkenal seperti Lady Gaga, Avril Lavigne, dll juga mengupload video musik mereka ke situs ini.

Dan ternyata dugaan fans terbukti. Tanggal 21 Oktober, SM Entertainment mengunggah beberapa MV SNSD ke situs ini, termasuk English Version dari 'The Boys'. Tentu saja ini adalah salah satu cara SMent dan Universal Music BV mempromosikan debut SNSD di Amerika dan ke seluruh penjuru dunia.
