Selama ini promotor Munial Sport Group (MSG) kerap mendatangkan bintang sepak bola seperti Christiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, atau Edwin Van Der Sar. Kali ini mereka mengubah haluan dengan mendatangkan artis Korea Lee Min Ho. Apa alasannya?

"Kami memang spesial di olah raga, cuma kalau diliat MSG juga ada entertainment-nya. Kita coba lima tahun lalu, kami satu-satunya yang diundang Rain ke Korea. Saya sudah lihat potensi Korean Pop sangat besar di Indonesia. Kami rasa tepat bagi kami membawa ke entertainment," ujar Mulyawan Munlal, pimpinan MSG saat ditemui di Kedai Kak Ani, Kemang, Jakarta Selatan, Selasa (8/1).

Alasan lainnya adalah karena situasi di Indonesia saat ini masih kurang kondusif untuk mendatangkan atlet sepak bola. "Situasi bola di Indonesia juga lagi nggak kondusif, lagi 'riweh'. Jadi saya rasa tepat pelan-pelan mengembangkan karya di entertainment ini, bisa saja ke depannya bisa bawa yang lain," papar Mulyawan.

Pemilihan Lee Min Ho disepakati setelah pihak MSG mendapat beberapa masukan dan banyak melakukan survei di lapangan. "Awalnya dari input beberapa teman, kita lihat fans basenya banyak, dari ibu-ibu sampai anak-anak muda. Saya pancing di twitter banyak yang menarik, makanya saya bawa ke sini," jelas Mulyawan.

Perjuangan Mulyawan tidak sebentar. Ia mengungkap perlu dua tahun berjuang agar artis asal Korea Selatan itu mau untuk hadir di Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) pada 23 Maret 2013. "Yang pasti kami sudah tanda tangan kontrak, jadi pasti, mudah-mudahan mereka menghargai kontrak," tandasnya.
