F.T. Island Memenangkan Gugatan Terhadap Baviphat,Dan Menerima Ganti Rugi $36,000 USD

 


Kembali pada bulan Februari, F.T. Island dan FNC Musik mengajukan gugatan terhadap perusahaan kosmetik  Baviphat karena menggunakan gambar FT Island luar lingkup kontrak yang telah disepakati. Pada tanggal 9, Pengadilan Distrik Seoul memutuska memenangkan FT Island,dan Baviphat harus membayar ganti rugi sebesar 40.000.000 KRW (sekitar $ 36.000 USD).

Gugatan ganti rugi yang diajukan oleh FT Island adalah sebesar 200.000.000 KRW (sekitar $ 180.000 USD dan USD $ 36.000 untuk setiap anggota), namun Baviphat secara resmi mengajukan bahwa perusahaan mengalami kesulitan keuangan.

FNC Music menuduh Baviphat melanggar hak gambar  F.T. Island dan menggunakan gambar mereka untuk mengiklankan merek di bagian lain dari Asia seperti Thailand, Malasyia dimana  kontrak menyatakan bahwaiklan hanya terbatas di Korea saja. Mereka juga terus menggunakan gambar F.T. Island untuk mengiklankan merek mereka selama lebih dari satu tahun setelah kontrak mereka berakhir.

Pengadilan melaporkan, "Anggota F.T. Island masing-masing harus dibayar 8.000.000 KRW (sekitar $ 7.200 USD)  untuk kerugian tersebut. "
